How do I make my spot pop?!?

Huge spot on my neck, red and swollen and painful...I tried to pop it (am a zit popping addict) but just made it bleed. How do I speed it up, so the pain goes away?? Will be back in a bit. Thanks!

I'd suggest you hold a hot damp flannel there for a while. That should steam the skin and get the pore to open, and hopefully bring it to the surface. Toothpaste overnight might help too.

And leave it alone till you can see the white pus - if it scabs over the grim stuff inside will be trapped forever for a lot longer. (I can't talk though as am a terrible picker).

put sudocrem on it, will be much reduced if not gone by morning

Oh why can't I pick it? When all the gunge has gone it won't hurt anymore. Am trying the warm flannel idea. I thought toothpaste dries them up? I would rather pop it!

You can pop it, but not till you can see the white gunge - otherwise it pops inside the skin and will spread and become huge and horrid. Stick with the flannel...

Its not white, its more of a yellow headed lump. Owch.

Update for spot lovers - have bathed it in hot water...it went very red....tried again to sqeeze it - not a jot - so have slapped a blob of sudacreme on - not photoworthy I'm afraid monkeyfacegrace....just a slap of creme at the moment!
