weird ovary pain - not had period since birth 9 months ago

I had my 2nd baby 9 months ago and am still BF.

I BF my first for 5 months, stopped, then my period returned at 7 months and it was normal.

As im still BF I wasn't really thinking about it returning but im getting a bit paranoid about pains and hoping this is just my period coming.

They are like ovarian pains you would get if you over stretch or maybe during a peroid or when you are PG.

Im getting them quite alot and have been for a good few weeks now. I also found sex a bit uncomfortable yesterday and do get the odd shooting pain in my vagina (hate hate that word)!!

Of course google tells me I have cervical cancer but im wondering if my ovary's are just kicking back into life and a period is due. Any experience either way?

I have been bf for 11 months and still no period either! So I wouldn't worry about that too much, and I have also found sex a bit uncomfortable, maybe due to scarring or hormones, not sure.

Would probably get checked re the shooting pain thing though, just in case it's something else. Any chance at all you could be PG again???

DS is 13 months, I'm still BFing, and haven't had a period yet. I've also had ovary pain like you describe a few times over the past few months. I thought it was ovulation pain, but the period never came. I'm not pregnant either.

Realise this is of no help at all, but thought I'd say you're not alone!

i have peroids but get a weird intense pain mid cycle about when ovulation would be expected. This seems to be the norm now since periods returning post depo post ds.

I have had trans abdominal due to cyst history. nothing found. My advice is if it continues get it checked. Having experienced ovarian cysts it is uncomforatable and the sooner that catch them they better. small cysts can be dealt with by key hole, large ruptured cysts need more invasive and longer recovery.

Suspect just body getting back into gear but dont take risks if you are worry and ask.

Thanks everyone. Its only been around 3 weeks. If Im still getting them or they get worse over the next few weeks I will go to Doc. Hopefully just Ovary's caming back to life.

As for PG again >fingers in ears LAH LA LAH LA
