It's now coming up to 6.00am. He's slept most of the night with a few trips to the loo. I'm still worried about him. What's the best thing I can do until the I can get him to see a doctor?

Try to keep him rehydrated - is he able to drink? Weak squash or flat coke is good, or just water - don't take him to the doctor's. just ring up and ask for a telephone consultation, to prevent having to take him out of the house/bathroom!

The doctor will probably tell you to let it be, it will usually take a day or two to stop by itself. Don't give him Immodium or anything as that can keep the bug inside for even longer.

Hope he is feeling better soon x

Sorry you had a bad night Sad
Get someone to pick you up some dioralyte relief (the stuff with rice starch in it) it rehydrates and slows down the movements a bit too.
If it goes on being proper watery diarrhoea (loose movements for a few days are ok) more than 48 hours OR he looks dehydrated (not peeing, dry lips and mouth, dry skin) he needs to see someone but otherwise just keep and eye and keep him entertained x
