Last wwek ds had ear infection, this week throat infection.
We've seen GP and he's had anti-biotics since Mon afternoon but as yet there's NO improvement. He can't regulate his temperature and we are just about managing it using Calpol and Nurofen. He has a horrible cough which is distressing him.
Question is have I given the anti-biotics long enough to work? Ought we to return to the docs?
We leave home tomorrow morning but don't leave the country until Friday afternoon.
Any ideas?

Yes, go back to docs, I'd say. They could adjust the dose or just give you top tips/medicine for coping with symptoms so that he's a bit happier, e.g. I think there are soothing lollies on sticks for small people with sore throats which would work better than cough sweets.

And remember to take your E111 form with you to France in case you need to see the doctor there as well.
