My skn hurts :(

Does anyone else have this ?
i get days where my skin is really painful to the touch, not really sure what causes it, docs said probably due to a virus

I get skin that feels sore to touch when I'm ill- definitely with fever, but even a week ago I had a few days of runny nose etc and my skin 'hurt'.

I think I have read somewhere that it could be because of the herpes.

I get this now and again on my face and scalp,doc thought a virus like herpes but then had blinding pain at side of head and neuralgia was diagnosed,tabs from doc sorted it out but dread it happening again.

Shingles?
Sounds very like what I get with shingles - which I have had about 8 times.

I actually thought I had it last week due to sensitive face and teeth etc. This time was just a cold, but blinding headache, generally feeling run down, sore skin (any blemish/spot/blister type thing) sounds similar to my shingles symptoms.

Shingles is the chickenpox virus manifesting itself in a different way, and is a member of the herpes family.
