I know i can't lift and not even trying but its 15 day post op today and for the most part i feel fine. I went to town yesterday with a friend and although felt really tired toward the end I was fine, i'm doing most things around the house except for mopping, hoovering, ironing, carrying wet washing around etc.

Am I doing too much? I have no pain, no discomfort except for a bit of groin pain if i walk too far.

Any one else any experience of feeling this good after two weeks as everything i've read says you shouldn't feel like this 2 weeks on.

I'm 38 by the way

Hi notsofar, didn t want your post to go unanswered but I think you'll find all you need to know about posterior repair from the other long running thread on the subject.

I don't know about the posterior repair, but I do know that the recovery rate for a vaginal hysterectomy is far faster than for one where they go in abdominally, so 2 weeks & walking around sounds reasonable. My mum and aunt had hysterectomies, my mum's abdominal and my aunt vaginal and the latter recovery was much faster. The groin pain may be from the repair and perhaps you should take it a little easier? Do you have any check ups impending?

38 is young you poor thing. Have you kept your ovaries? Keeping ovaries and receiving HRT can help them keep going and you don't get full menopause symptoms until the correct time iyswim.
