...we've just noticed at bathtime that both boys, who are two and six, have a handful of red spots. They've both already had chicken pox, although I know it's a myth that you can't get it twice....(it is, definitely).

They're both fit as fiddles and I don't know whether I'm supposed to keep them home tomorrow and go to the doc, or just wait and see what happens.
Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks very much.

..sorry, should have added that they are scattered, and also quite well defined. They're not like a rash.

bites? have they been out in the garden?

Twiglett · 05/09/2005 19:19

if they're not ill I'd just leave it tbh

ruty · 05/09/2005 19:25

flea bites? if you have animals that is..

AnnieSG · 05/09/2005 19:58

Thanks for all these, but I don't think it's either of these. We have no pets and I don't think both would have got garden bites.
Does anyone know anything about hand, foot and mouth?

Hand, foot and mouth

WigWamBam · 05/09/2005 20:00

It looks like this

AnnieSG · 05/09/2005 20:52

Wigwambam, thank you so much. That's really really kind and helpful. And they definitely don't look like this, so I can rule that one out, I think.
Thing is, they're both well but I feel crap today. Might be coincidence. This was my first sodding day back working after six weeks with the children and now I think I'm going to have to keep the buggers homes!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

AnnieSG · 05/09/2005 21:57

molluscum aren't red though - more like creamy coloured oversized white heads.

dinny · 06/09/2005 07:12

my dd's mollooscum started as just red spots (on back of her knees, fwiw)
