for the last couple of weeks I have been ridiculously tired- I'm not normally a morning person but this is horrible! I don't know whether it's worth going to the doctors or not? Am I being silly- could just be the weather!

I was like that,by 1pm i was fit for nothing, even the pensioners in the supermarket, were overtaking me.

I went to the doctors and had a blood test, and it came back my iron was very low,i was put on iron tablets and noticed a difference within days.

i also stopped drinking tean and coffee..

I'd like an answer to this question too!!
It doesn't necessarily mean lack of iron - i know my iron was lower than allowed to give blood, but that meant it was 115 (minimum is 125, i think)

I have stopped drinking tea with meals.

you can't get iron tablets, Liquorice - at least not without prescription. you can get iron-rich food, though.
If you're not veggie, then just eat more red meat.
if you are veggie, then weetabix, broccoli, nuts etc are great for getting more iron in you.
also, when you eat, drink a glass of orange juice with your meal - that helps you absorb it into your blood.

I would see GP for propper diagnosis and blood test if it is that severe.
