Dodgy Poohs

Hi

DD has had stinky runny poops for about seven days til yesterday. Today she cried while doing one and it was quite hard.

Just changhed her bum cos nappy was wet and noticed what I can only describe as lokking like a tiny bit of clear mucus with a few streaks of blood in it

She is fine in herself - anything to worry about??

My DD has had the same problem on a couple of occassions. She tends to a little constipated so her movements are quite hard. The first time it happened i was really worried and called the doctors straight away, he told me that is very common in babies especially if they are constipated and that it would most likely be a small cut caused by the hard motion.

Given the fact that your DD cried at the time i would say that it sounds like she might have a small tear, they do tend to heal quite quickly but it would'nt do any harm to take her to your GP just to get it checked out or at least give them a call.

Try not to worry, i'm sure she'll be fine.
