After birth...

How much have your bits changed? I wouldn't expect them to be the same but I must admit it's bugging me. Internally I'm great, well-stitched but outside I feel half stitched. My perineum is about half it's original length, very short. Is this the norm? I was wondering about the situation after I've had a few more.

Can't say I've noticed any change tbh. Felt different straight after the births, but once I had healed, felt no different. Will be watching this thread with interest.

Hmm, it's not bad different but certainly different. It felt at first like sex with someone else's. Still does a bit, not painful but psychologically difficult to re-start at first.

Hmmm, I would say they are a bit "frillier" than they were before 2 dc. First birth did the most damage, 2nd degree tear that took nearly an hour to stitch and 10wks to heal. My doctor recommended I have a look with a mirror and not to be afraid. Big mistake, I nearly fainted with horror.

After my 2nd, much easier birth, I didnt feel as bad "downstairs". I'll never have perfect bits again, but I've made my peace with it, it all works ok and this is good news.

Think I've been lucky - I can't feel a change after 2 DCs apart from perhaps - ahem - a bit tighter IYSWIM!
