My ten week old has a cold- well have cold symptoms, snotty nose grumpy unless asleep or feeding. He had his jabs earlier in the week.
He is all snuffly and common sense tells me to do the following

  • calpol but can only be given twice in twentyfour hours as not 3 months yet.
  • baby vicks on a muslin in the crib (obv. no where near him).
  • tried bulb aspirator but was huge and thus useless.
  • Keep checking his temp.
  • cuddles etc etc
Anything I can do about the bungedness?

I know I am being very PNB but dp has got me all paranoid, isnt dealing with ds' first cold very well and I am now doubting myself

saline drops for his nose might help too

run the shower/hot tap and sit in the room and the steam should help with his nose too. Can you raise the head end of his cot as that will help too

Ah I thought about drops can you use them this young?
Had propped him up. Will sit in the bathroom with him.
Thank you seona :)
