NSAID - like ibuprofen, or diclofenac.

You can alternate with paracetamol or cocodamol.

Dentists use of oil of cloves as an anaesthetic dressing inside fillings, so you could try that.

Yes alternate ibuprofen and paracetamol, take it regularly to keep the pain well under control. Sometimes rubbing a bit of sensodyne type toothpaste on the tooth/gum can help.

Antiseptic mouthwash.

would teething gel on the gum help? Chewing on a clove can work, too.

clove oil..around £1.50 a bottle apply with a cotten bud. because burns like fuck if you get it on your lips! Wink

As of last night, DH swears by Glenfiddich, which manages to numb the surface and take the mind off it, plus apparently has antiseptic properties. However, now he's been to the dentist so he's on ABs and can't drink any more of it!

She really needs to get to the dentist if at all possible, to sort out the cause.
