Those private one's that cost £100's of pounds? Or a full health check with bloods tests, the lot etc.

Did it tell you anything new?

Am having paranoid health moment. Not that I have the £ to pay for it anyway.

Those private scans aren't all they're cracked up to be. They give you a hefty dose of radiation you're better off without, for starters.

Are you having specific health worries? Have you got symptoms you're worried about?

I often receive junk mail from companies advertising well woman CT scans, but from what I have read CT scans do give off radiation, what I don't understand is that you do not need a doctors referral for one of these privately run organisations but you do need a GP referral for a MRI scan which do not omit radiation. Does anyone know if it is possible to have an full body MRI scan without involving your GP?
