Geographical tongue anyone?

Thats what i have googled and think i have - last night had a meal out - peppered chicken and a smelly cheese board after and a few lagers, today i took dc to maccy dees and had a cheeseburger as an end of hols treat - on way home tongue felt a bit odd so looked in mirror and its all pathcy round edge and through middle, feels swollenish and tender, so have googled and this is what i have found - docs or chemist or someeon have a home remedy???? Please? Thankyou Smile

Hi I have this - unfortunately there is no "cure". You just need to try and avoid the triggers.

Also maybe try to take a multi vitamin if you don't already as sometimes it can be a deficiency in a B vitamin I think?

Whatever you do, don't worry though, it's not serious Smile.

thanks - it seems to have calmed down a bit today - my colleagues were not impressed when i showed them my reason for todays detox! Will avoid all things spicey and perhaps introduce a multi vitamin.

My 7-year-old dd has this too - has done since birth. We were very worried about her to begin with, thought she'd managed to burn her tongue somehow! It's annoying because she does find so many foods 'spicy' or 'sore', like tomatoes, some apples, curry, even mild ones etc. Apart from that, she never really mentions it, though her tongue does look very bizarre.
