Has GP fobbed me off?

Had my 8wk post natal check today. It was over in a flash tbh. I have a prolapse which was diagnosed earlier as had an infection in my stitches. GP didn't look at it, said if it wasn't painful then not much to be done with it. Thing is it isn't painful but is uncomfortable at times and tbh I don't want things wrong with 'my bits!'

Also feel fobbed off about some other things I mentioned to him. His check on my baby was a bit brief too.

I suppose I should go back. I was hoping for a referral to a specialist. I don't want to live with a prolapse! Any advice?

Really, the 8 week check often has more to do with the system fulfilling its statutory public health targets than real patient care. So the GP may not have been able to give you the time and attention he wanted to.

I agree, worth making an appointment and asking for a referral. There'll be more time then...
