I have Factor V Lyden so have to have fragmin for 6 weeks post natal. If I do them in mi belly, it has a local reaction and itches and comes up in big red patches. So I decided to put them in my leg but the pain is really awful, makes me cry Shock Is there anything I can do to prevent the agony ???

Elma patch? Seems to work for DD when she has her jabs.

Hi..I'm doing this too...am still 30 weeks pg and have Factor V so am already dreading the post birth shots ...

I got a fab freezing spray from the hospital - its waaaaaay better than the emla... also have resorted to rubbing an ice cube on the spot I am about to inject into..

Good luck

do you pinch a fold, stab, release fold and squirt?

I found this minimised bruising but never had the reaction you've got
could they change for another brand of lmw heparin?
