Dental splint

I went to the dentist today for my regular check up. He said he could tell I grind my teeth and recomended i get a dental splint as my teeth are getting very ground down. He said if i left it another say 5 years I would be having real problems.

Anyway.....I was just wondering if any of you have any experience of them - I'd never heard of them before today

TIA xx

I've got one for the same reason. It is made from an impression of your teeth and is made of clear plastic. Mine clicks into place over my lower teeth and I wear it every night. It's not uncomfortable at all.

Since getting it, I've had less migraines and haven't had to have any fillings replaced, which was a regular thing because I was biting down so hard in my sleep they were cracking.

It did take a couple of nights to get used to it, but I wouldn't sleep without it now.

I just brush it with toothpaste to clean it.
