Loose bowels before AF

Every month before Aunt flo rear her head I get loose bowel movements, I am finding it a PITA and wondered if it was something I should see my GP about or whether it was quite common...?

there was a thread about this a few weeks ago - quite common and down to hormones.

Oh good, was starting to think there might be something wrong with me, do you remember the name of the thread?

I can't remember and I can't find it either- keep bumping - someone else might. It was sometime in the last month I think.

bruffin · 06/09/2010 09:51

I think it's fairly normal. I have always had loose bowels just before and during my period.

TaurielTest · 06/09/2010 09:52

It's to do with changes in progesterone levels IIRC. Quite usual.

I get slightly looser bowels during my period and a day or two before, and feel a bit constipated when I'm ovulating. I think it's quite normal!

sapphireblue · 06/09/2010 14:45

I've always had the same thing too.

PersonalClown · 06/09/2010 14:47

Nothing unusual. I get it every month too.
