Is it the pill?

I feel totally irrational & weepy lots of the time like PMT especially if even a small thing goes wrong. Also have begun to get really short with people, no patience, shouting at DH & even poor DS.

DS is 8 months and my periods since have been really heavy (changing super extra plus tampons hourly etc, feel like insides dropping out) although luckily no pain. Since he was born I have tried the Mirena coil (heavy bleeding, abdominal pain & serious PMT type symptoms), mini pill (bleeding or spotting most days) & most recently combined pill (lots of spots & PMT symptoms again however bleeding now settled thankfully).

I know there are a few options left but due to my age (37) the nurse is very wary of what she will let me try and ruled out injection which I used to be on. I suppose what I have been looking for is something to control the heavy bleeding more than contraception as my DH is happy to go for 'the op'.

It's the mood swings and being irrational I am worried about, anyone else felt like this? Could it be the pill or more likely related to being a working mum who gets annoyed when life gets a bit much? Not sure I have explained that too well.
