Dental question??

Hi just wondering if was have any dentist's or people who might have experienced what I am now.

I am not registered with a dentist at the moment, I am absolutely terrified of going but feel I have to now.

I have no real pain atm, but my gums sort of feel numb sometimes and there is sort of a slight pin prick feeling in them also.

Also my gums feel like they are moving away from my teeth.

Does anyone know what this could be???

I am hoping to find a dentist and see one asap.

I am crapping myself as my only 2 fears are dentists and loosing my teeth, so something telling me I will have to get over at least one of these and think the dentist would be the easiest option.

Please help Sad

This sounds like me a few months ago, Hai.
I feel your pain as I hadn't seen a dentist for years as I was so scared of them :(

I got frightened into going in the end because I had a stroke a year ago and I Googled that gum disease (which is what I have) can be a cause of stroke! I do not know whether the gum disease was responsible but it made me go to the dentist anyhow :)

It sounds like gum disease is what you have as your symptoms are similar to mine.

I searched until I found a dentist who was happy to take a 'nervous patient' and I'm so glad I did because the treatment was not as bad as I'd imagined and it looks like my teeth will be saved now :)

I know it's hard but the longer you leave it the worse it will get. Best to brave it now.

If you're anywhere near Hayes, Bromley, I know a lovely dentist there. Pricey, but worth it in my case.

Can you take a friend with you as well?
