Piles AFTER pregnancy....WHY???

Hello! I had my son 4 months ago but am only now developing piles.Blush I don't understand why! I had one which bled about a month ago, then it went and now have another one. I don't have any problems with bowel movements, i have a mainly veggie (some fish) diet with lots of fibre and i don't sit on a lot of cold stones!!! or is that just a myth? Grin

Does anyone have any idea why i am getting them now? Confused

nope, but I am similarly suffering. I had piles years ago, and only now, two months after giving birth, are they causing me problems. they seem to have gotten worse - I have mucus in poo, and am quite uncomfortable in the bottom area! Have got suppositories (mmm, great), so will see if they help. I think you can just be prone to them, unfortunately, and there's not a lot you can do to stop them.

really? poor you! Sounds grim. I haven't had them since i was a teenager and am 34 now so not sure i am prone. But they aren't the best side effect of havin a baby! Wink
