Do you exfoliate in between shaves?

nancydrewrocked · 02/09/2010 20:12

exfoliation and "tendskin" lotion works well.

I do exfoliate some times to much cause they ich so bad i end up near enough scrubbing the skin off, its horrible you can see all the little buggars under the skin.

There are some ingrowing hair creams you can use for post waxing and shaving - one in particular is called 'no bump'. Available from all good internet stores / therapists.

I'm a beauty therapist who has dry skin, I find waxing best as the hairs grow back tapered and this allows them to break through the skin.

I would suggest exfoliating once a week religiously. It sounds like you've tried waxing before....you could dry it again?

If not, I would try an epilator and keep your skin thoroughly moisturised with an oil free moisturiser.

Hope this helps x

Oh my god I am exactly the same and was actually thinking about starting a thread about it!

I only shave my legs once a week as a result, the itching drives me insane.

Have tried waxing and sugaring, giving both a decent length of time but had exactly the same prob with both and neither left me properly hair free in any case, IYSWIM. I have always exfoliated my legs daily.

I might try tend skin and/or no bump as recommended by nancydrewrocked and TinksandFloris although I can't find info as to how either of these works!

I was wondering if an electric shaver might be better? Have you tried that at all? Not as smooth a shave obviously but I thought that might make ingrowing hairs less likely?
