My friend called me today to tell me she had a lump on her breast which another friend had a look at. As she is not one for checking her breasts very often she is not sure how long the lump is there. She tells me that last night the area round her nipple became red and painful. Her other friend says it could be a trapped milk duct but to get it checked out. I have looked this up on the internet but trapped milk ducts seem to occur in breastfeeding women and it is about 9 years since she had her last child. She has an appointment with doctor in morning but has asked me to call up later and let her know what I found out on internet but really found out nothing.
So can anyone help me?
