Is it normal to randomly have a 'light period'

Hello

I'm 29 with two children. This month I had a really light period. I'm normally quite heavy. It's definately too much to be spotting and there is no way I can be pregnant. I'm stressing because I'm about to start going back to work after being a SAHM. I really want another one but DP isn;t into it. We are deliberatley delaying trying for another for some years. But if it came down to it and there was 'less of a window' I would want to try for one straight away. I would worry less if others thought the odd 'light period' was normal or not. Should I go to the GP?

When you say you 'can't' be pregnant, what do you mean?

ilovehugs · 02/09/2010 16:55

Because me and DP have both been too 'busy' Blush

So you could be two months pregnant not one then? Wink

Light periods can be the result of excessive exercise or stress.

Hmmmm, definately no on the exercise - stress - no more than usual. I know I'm not pregnant!!! :)

Then you are just bloody lucky my dear. But beware a second wave one day after it finishes.

Are you sure it is the right time to be your period? Fibroids can cause bleeding between periods.
