I might have fibromyalgia. Dh thinks it is coincidence. Knowing me as I do I think this is an emotional and physical reaction to it.

what are the tablets? I have meds that i take at night to control pain which can knock you flat.

I hadnt trained for ages and have just got back into the swing of things a must admit to feeling more alive for the exercise. thatis despite doing 18hours over 8 days. WIll have to admit to having to take a week of training to recover though. cant go from 4hour per week to 18 without suffering.

Amitriptyln (sp) its the same one i have and it makes me feel completely wiped. I nly have a very small dose but i am incapable of doing virtually anything when i am on it. I dont take it unless i am having a bad spell naughty mucky. But it might explain why you are feeling so tired all the time. check the side effects if you still have a leaflet but i am sure that tiredness is a very common one.

Yes, it is something like that. I have a feeling I forgot to take them last night. I was feeling incredibly tired before starting on them though. Yesterday I felt less tired but did have really bad pain in my leg I hadn't had before and have had a painful twinge in my side. I am seeing my osteopath next week so hopefully he can help a bit.

I used to be on amytriptaline to help me stay asleep as I have the problem that no matter how tired I am, I cannot get to sleep, then I cannot stay asleep. Only problem was it would take me over 2 hours to wake up in the morning.

Can't do that now with DS so I don't take them anymore. That was only a 10mg dose as well.

It's an antidepressant...

Slugbrains · 03/09/2010 21:54

in high doses only. in a low dose it is used for migraine treatment, nerve and pain control, mild sleep sedative etc.

Saltire · 04/09/2010 08:10

I find with amitryptiline that if I take them an hour or 2 before I go to bed then I sleep better, and easier ( becasue they ahve a chance to get into my system) and also find waking easier int eh morning, although I do feel tired all day every day.

I am currently 3 days into the worst flare up I've had since I moved here in february.
