In recent months i have been unwell.Firstly i was diagnosed with T.M.J dysfunction for which i had irrigation performed 9 days ago.
Also i have had on/off dizziness numbness, tightness(like rubber band)and tingling in my left arm and leg.Initially i went to A and E and the doctor didnt have the foggiest and told me to see my G.P.Which i did ,and was told that a muscle spasm in my shoulder was probably pinching a nerve in my arm, and my brain was over compensating and so my leg was numb.
Since having the T.M.J irrigation i have felt so unwell ,very weak and so tired ,feeling sick.Only left the house today to take kids to Toyshop and it wore me out.I saw my GP on tuesday who suspected an infection and gave me Penicillin.Yesterday the numbness etc returned down my left side and its getting worseSadThe scary thing is that i can now feel slight tingling in my right side too.
Please does anyone have any idea what the hell is wrong with me?

You need to pop back to your GP and ask for a neurology referral. It sounds like there's a problem with the nerves in your neck/arms, I don't know what though. You can also try a chiropractor to see if they can help. I'd do this sooner rather then later. Have you had an x-ray of your neck/back taken recently?

Hi Belle
Thanks for your reply
I was racking my brains to think last night and i did wonder if it could be the Baclofen im taking?
I will make another appointment to see the GP though ,i just hope they dont think im wasting their time.

Baclofen's a muscle relaxant isn't it?

I'd try a chiropractor, I have knackered nerves and have found acupuncture very helpful aswell.

How are you feeling today?

Beauregard · 30/08/2010 21:21

yes Belle the GP prescribed it to prevent the muscles in my face going into spasm and affecting my jaw joint.
I have felt stronger today and have done a few jobs round the house.I Still feel shaky and the sensations the same in my left side, but not as dizzy today thankfully.
