Can I use a generic anti fungal (athletes foot) cream on a small patch of what I'm pretty sure is ringworm on my son's leg?

Anyone know?

I think so, but make sure his towels are separate and the area is covered or you will all have it.

It takes ages to clear and you have to keep applying the stuff for a week or two after it looks like it's gone, or it might come back.

Watch out, impetigo can look pretty similar at the beginning, and definitely won't go away with fungicide cream as it's bacterial. If it gets worse, best check with GP.
