Take him to the doctor. It can't be 'cured' but it can be made worse from the vertiginous feelings; so if he can get some stemitil (anti-sickness meds), that should help him feel better. Then he needs to rest, and rest, and rest so his body can fight the virus.

Hi I have had this twice and it was hideous so i totally sympathise. the second time I could not get out of bed and the GP came to the house to give me a jab. I have two different types of medicine for it- some tablets which are stronger and bucastem tabs to dissolve under my tongue in case I cannot stop being sick. Touch wood I have not had it for a few months but the doc thinks I could have debris in the inner ear so i am off to the hospital next week to see the consultant and to have a procedure (cannot remember the name) where my ears will be 'shaken' out!!! They can teach you to do it yourself!! Its horrible, hope he gets better soon, you cannot fight it, just have to lay flat until it goes away!
