i hope someone has a remedy as i have 8 really bad coldsores and have a wedding in 3 weeks.

i have been poorly with a cold and chest infection for 2 weeks and as predicted the coldsores have arrived. 5 around my nose and 3 on my top lip, but i have my sil's wedding in 3 weeks and am considering not attending if i can't reduce the swelling i have in time.

Does anyone know a way of making them look less gross and dry them up quickly

Sorry to hear that Sad.

Acyclovir from your local pharmacy, lots of handwashing and plenty of rest.

Hope you are better for the wedding.

Go to your GP and ask about an anti viral medicine. Are you run down?

tegan · 22/08/2010 14:28

yes really run down

i've been ill for a couple of weeks with a horrible cold and now dh is home ill with a inner ear infection which means he cannot get out of bed probably for about a week and he doesn't get sick pay.
also all the wedding stuff is getting me down as my dd's are bridesmaids

Compeed patches work well. I would go to GP as well some antibiotics might help.
