bleeding for 4mths - getting a bit worried now...

I had a copper coil put in in Jan. I was on depo injection before so doctor explained that it could be a year before any periods return and that when they did they might be heavy and longer. Was fine with that.

In May I started a period and 14wks later it's still not stopped!!

I went to docs 2 wks ago to ask her about it. She said it wasn't normal and did blood tests for hormone levels and also internal swabs looking for infections. They have all come back normal and clear.

Doc gave me some tablets to stop the bleeding temporarily cos i was going on holiday. The bleeding stopped for 3 days but then started again despite me still taking these pills.

I can't get an appointment to speak to doc or nurse for 12days!!

Has anyone any experience of this, I'm getting a bit worried now that it's something more serious wrong with me.

Ive only had mine in for 4 weeks, I had a normal period then spotting Angry I read on here that others have took multi vitamins and it sorted it. So last monday I got some and I havent bled since last tues and was only a bit!! The best 80p I have ever spent at tescos!! Its about 2-3 years since Ive not bled constantly without overdosing on hormones! I go to gym and do fitness classes regular too and its not caused any bleeding Grin

I had something similar but only for 5 weeks. I had bleeding after insertion for almost 2 weeks then a period then more bleeding. Went to family planning clinic in the end as GP only did coils once a week- they looked and said it was half out. Removed it quickly.
