woke up with a really bad headache on monday, paracetamol didnt help and i ended up on the settee all day. thought it may be because i was on my period . but the fingers on my left hand were tingling aswell.

today the headache has improved a bit but the tingling is still there and after going to bed last night with aching ankles , i have woken with very sore legs, they hurt from top to bottom .

i havent done anything physical, in fact i have stayed home all week.
what could it be ?

actually have had weird symptoms like this before and ended up seeing a doc who didnt manage to figure it out either.

Any changes to your vision?

cheeryface · 18/08/2010 09:13

well my vision is ok , but, when in bright light first thing in the morning the light sort of pulses if that makes any sense.
i have had that checked out though at the opticians and everything was fine.
did seem to go away for a while, until now.

Hmm. possible migraine? I get tingling down one arm when I get them and weird flashing around my peripheral vision.

Did you have your period the last time you had this? Are you on any medication/changed your pill recently?

cheeryface · 18/08/2010 10:11

no im not on anything different. when you get this does the tingling carry on after the head pain has gone ?
still dont know why my legs are killing me though.

sorry I'm not being more use! Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along in a bit.

My legs kill me when i have a particularly heavy period (feel like they're going to fall off IYKWIM)

Yes, I take painkillers the instant I get symptoms and the headache goes, but I still have the flashing (and fun blindspots too) even after the pain has gone.

Could be a migraine, but worth seeing a Dr again IMO, and also telling them you have had this before.

cheeryface · 18/08/2010 10:33

i know what you mean about the leg thing with a period but its not that. my period has finished today and the pain is from the bottom of my back down. not the usual dragging pain iyswim.

definitely get to a GP, mention that you've had them before.
