Travel sickness medicatione recommendation please

DD1 (almost 3) gets carsick. We are going on hols by road and ferry this Friday.

I will be bringing her (sick)bucket as a precaution, but can any of you good ladies recommend an anti-sickness solution?

I suffered terribly as a child and so does DS. I thoroughly recommend "sea Bands" They are elastic bands with a little plastic button that presses on a nausea point on your wrist. I don't do much with complimentary medicine, but these work, and they sell them in chemists - I believe some women find they help with MS as well. DS feels better just to know he's wearing them, and most drugs knock them out.

I am the worst traveller in the world. I've just come back from a transatlantic crossing on a liner and the last time I did it I was as sick as a dog the entire time, I even get sick reading the brochures. This time I was given a tablet called Avomine and it's a bloody miracle. I managed the whole crossing without a bucket.

Ask at the chemist. Seriously, if it works on me it'll work on anyone.

go and see a homeopath. I had a carsick dog when I was a child, as well as getting terribly carsick myself.

My friend was a trainee homeopath and extending into medicines for dogs so gave me some medicine for my carsick dog. He was NEVER sick again.

Based on the evidence that it couldn't be a placebo effect as the dog didn't hear us talk about it () we took ourselves off and promptly cured our sickness too :)
