exageerated blinking/screwing up eyes in 12mo - anything to worry about?

DD has just turned one and in the past couple of weeks, we have noticed her doing a very exaggerated blinking thing and screwing up her eyes, almost as if she is trying too clear them of something (or, as i do if it is too bright or i have an ice cream headache)

I did mention it at the drs last week as she was ther about a cough, but he didnt seem bothered. should i be worried?

DS 2.11 does this when he's very tired, and has done since he was about 1

thank you Thelemur. iut could well be tiredness, or i was wondering if it as also shyness as she seems to do it with others but rarely with me. she had a check at the dr today and he said to just keep an eye on it as she could obviously see ok.
