well now i would go to the doctor maybe but am off on holiday tomorrow...

i am on about day 15 of my cycle - been bleeding, i suppose you would call it spotting - dark brown or pinky but not red - for aboutt 4 days...slightly crampy...i never ever do this!!

i am 42, have fibroids and endo and had op to remove a cyst over 18 months ago but these dont give me any problems - and miscarriage last year (i have 2 older dcs) - just wondering why this might happen cos usually i am just regular 28 day cycle, period for a week, thats it.

cant say i am especially worried but i do hate things happening and not knowing why and wondered if anyone had any experience of this and why it was.

have read about implantation bleeding and as we dont use contraception - well thats a posibility? but not with carmping surely? plus i have never had this before - or is it wome weird pre menopause thing or age related or is it something i should get checked out?

well, you know, any advice or comments..thanks!! :)

I had cramping/implantation bleeding so cramping can occur during early pregnancy.

I have also bled between periods and it can be due to variety of things, from hormonal imbalance, ovulation - pinkish, very light bleeding commen when ovulating, or more seriously cervical cancer. If you have had recent smear, don't panic. See GP. I was referred to menstruation clinic at local hospital and had scans, blood tests, womb biopsy all in one morning - they found nothing, and the bleeding stopped 2 months later!!

I would get such changes investigated further by the GP who may refer you back to the gynae. Its often not serious but it should always be checked out (it may be something to do with the gynae problems you have had previously). In view of your gynae history too I would be wanting to see the gynae in any case.

Same thing happened to me, 5-6 days of light bleeding starting the day I should have been ovulating. I went straight to my GP as we have been TTC for some time so I was worried it was an ectopic pregnancy (damn google). I was being a bit daft as I wasn't in any pain which I would have been if that were the cause. There are several explanations. If you are still bleeding it is unlikely to be implantation bleeding as that normally only lasts a few days. With mine it turned out to be 'just one of those things' (apparently the majority of them just happen and are a one off) and we put it down to stress as i had a huge change of lifestyle just prior to it happening. But there are a few more serious things that can cause it as have been mentioned so glad you are going to get it checked out. Hope yours is just on one of those things too!

Also AF came much earlier than expected so be on the look out, I am also v regular 28 days normally. Then I had a couple of long months until AF returned to the same day of the week it was before, which I found quite spooky!

well it turned out to be ovarian cysts which will have to be removed. which i had done 2 years ago, cant believe the damned things are back. soooo painful.
