Diet/ supplements to beat infection?

I have a minor, niggling toothache which is probably a wee infection on the site of an old root canal.

Dentist says I can't have xray or removal of old filling as both unsafe due to my pregnancy (although if I presented in agony she would override these and treat me regardless).

As the pain is minimal just now, we have decided to watch, wait and see. I'm 31 weeks so may well manage to put up with it until baby pops out and I can then have drugs/ xrays/ mercury.

In the meantime, can I fight the infection at all with foods, or supplements?
