Mini pill problems [confused]

I am on femulen and have been for about 1yr now. The mini pill is the only form of hormonal contraceptive that i can take due to a blood clotting problem. But recently my mood is extremely low and changable and bleeding extremely heavy with very bad pains. This pill is my last hope as other mini pills don t seem to agree with me. Bit worried about going to gp as i think only option left is one myself and my husband really dont want, condoms. Any advice?

Confused

You do have other options, such as depo-provera which is progesterone only too, like Femulen. Or a Mirena coil or the implant (Implanon).

The problem is that you won't know if they affect your mood until you try them - progesterones can increase PMT symptoms, but can also control bleeding.

Is your family complete? If so vasectomy could be worth considering.

Have a chat with someone at a Family Planning Clinic, or your GP if s/he is clued up on contraception.

I got pregnant on femulen...

Have you thought of the copper coil? I tried mirena first and I reacted badly to the hormones in it.
