Do you think this could be the same bug?

On Thursday I woke up with a tummy ache (which I put down to IBS) & then later in the day I started to feel queasy, which lasted all day, but I wasn't sick.
Went away with my sister on Friday who also said she felt sick, but after taking something she was ok.
Yesterday, my DS was very sick, as in vomiting for 12 hours. Could it have possibly been the same bug that I had even though I wasn't actually sick with it?
My dad had a vomit bug around 10 days ago, and was wondering if I could have had a very mild version which I have passed on to DS. But surely I would have been sick or had diaorrheoa if that were the case.

I am wondering whether I need to prepare myself for being ill again myself, as am a single mum & it is a nightmare!

Thank you, bubblagirl. I am a bit of a panicker with all things vomit related! I did feel off colour all day with the sicky feeling & my stomach was making all kinds of odd noises, but I wasn't actually sick. DS on the other hand, was very sick from midday to midnight. Countdown to DS2 coming down with it now!Confused

Oh, definitely it's possible for one person to come down with a bug and the other will feel just minor effects. Depends on your immunity to said bug and also how much of it you actually 'ingested' and also how your immune system's at the moment etc.

Oh fingers crossed that will be the case here then!
I did feel sicky for most of the day & had the odd moment of it the next day, but I put the tummy pains down to IBS & the queasy feeling down to tiredness. DP had complained of similar earlier the week before & having my sister feel sick the following day, then DS come down with this vomit bug, I did wonder, but he was the only one (other than my dad over a week before) that had the vomiting.

I skipped my dinner for one day as was feeling a bit queasy.
I must've been harbouring something as DH threw up repeatedly and then DD2 did in coffee shop the next day.
I was fine and so was DD1. We are sturdy!!
