hi
i've had the mirena coil (though i am waiting 2 have it out) for the last 2 1/2years. after a couple of months of having it in 'normal' periods resumed, though very occasionaly very heavy (as in fill a super plus and pad in an hour, sorry if tmi).
a few weeks ago i had a 'normal' period lasting the usual 6-7 days. then a week off before another 'normal' period lasting another 7days, then 2 weeks (with a dr trying 2 remove coil-but couldnt find strings- in the middle of this-twice) off, now-another, yet lighter bleed
whats going on?????
usually 1 a month-now 3 in 6 weeks?!
any ideas what could be causing this?

The Mirena was the worst thing I've ever done to my body. I didn't have your problem per se, but my periods were flaming horrid throughout the entire time it was in; both long and heavy and several a month for the entire time ~ apart from the initial 9 month continuous bleeding.

Just look forward to having it removed broody.
