Numb around and above C-Section scar - nearly two years on. Normal?

As the title says, I had an EMCS nearly two years ago. It healed very well and neatly, faint scar, all quite flat but the skin is fairly numb there and even 1-2 inches above, to the extent where if I pinch it with my nails it doesn't really hurt/barely feel it. Does anyone else have this? Do I need to fret?

Yes, normal - i'm nearly six years on from my emcs, and i'm still numb, as is my sister who's 21 years on....

I have that too. It is 3.5 years since my last section. I think that there has been an improvement in the numbness over that time, but the sensation that I have there is still reduced.
I dont think that it is anything to worry about - nerves have been cut during the surgery, so would be expected that there weould be some loss of sensation.

Thank you both! That's reassuring. Will direct my fretting elsewhere then. Grin
