Is anyone a fan of this type of exercise, does it help to keep fit?
Is it poss to just do it at home or should I try some sort of a class?

I used one all the time when I went to the gym (pre-pregnancy) - they're really versatile and I'd love one at home, but we don't have a cupboard big enough to hide it in!

use the dc's space hopper

I bought one and kept falling off it all the time.

I had one once but after banging my head against the wall - no change there then if you knew the rest of my life! - then startling the nosey neighbour who could see my horizontal top half going backwards and forwards through the window - or to be fair to them maybe they did need to check their gate 16 times in an hour! The last straw was when in a scene that would do Tom and Jerry proud I stopped just short of rolling the cat out like pastry - she was desperately clinging to the underside of the ball when I stopped in mid roll in the nick of time. Me and the cat have now reverted back to our old much safer activity of curling up on the settee with a box of chocolates and a packet of kitty treats of an evening - bliss.

Shock suda, banging your head against the wall!!

I liked the ball idea at first, but now I am beginning to think that I probably haven't got enough room to swing the cat - or roll the ball - maybe it's just another gimmick then. And def not have a cupboard big enough to store.

great bit of kit - brilliant for stomach exercises, press ups, lunges, squats etc - but do take up a lot of room and you actually have to use it for it be any good.
