Not taking thyroxine

I have been taking Thyroxine for 14 years and it has never made me feel better. I have over the last few months kept forgetting to take my tablets and feel so much better without it. I have started taking it again but I feel sluggish and much more tired when on it. Anyone else feel the same? or am I doing myself damage by not taking it?

not a good idea to change your meds without consulting GP imo - if your thyroid is underactive then you need the replacement therapy.

when did you last get a blood test? maybe your condition has changed and you genuionely don't need the meds any more - but you should get it tested?

If your thyroid is still underactive and you stop taking the meds, then you will experience adverse symtoms (like weight gain, depression, brain fog) as quickly as two weeks from now.
