Lead Poisoning

Dear Parents,

We can all imagine how frightened we would be if our children developed the symptoms of acute lead poisoning - headaches, nausea, vomiting, kidney damage, possibly even lapsing into a coma state. But perhaps the less immediately obvious signs are memory loss, reduced IQ, and other symptoms of brain damage. Of course, if such a terrible thing occured to our own child, we would rush to the doctor for a remedy and remove our child from the source of the toxin. But for the children in this petition and their parents, there is no such remedy, or escape. What is most shocking is that the cause of their problems were actions by the United Nations itself, charged with the care of children. And now, everyone refuses to evacuate these children.

Please sign this petition, and if possible, motivate your local school to become active in working to save these children.
