PMT

So my PMT is getting increasingly worse - over the past 6 months or so.

I do have PCOS, am not on the pill, have a long cycle (up to 40 days). I am having up to 10 days of tiredness, weepiness, irritability etc. I just don't feel like myself and it's getting worse.

Other than getting more sleep (currently getting 9 hours a night at its peak! and feel like I am sleep walking through the day), what can I do?

Strangely once my period arrives I am fine - small bit of cramp, bit tired, sore boobs but actually 300% better than the days running up.

Any ideas - I am willing to try anything at this point? I just can't be a zombie for 25% of the time.

I found taking fish oils and magnesium helped a lot. It takes about 3 months to work well.

3 months? wow. Okay, gimme dosages? Half a mackerel a day?

Ummmm dunno [helpful]. Get a 'womans' supplement vitamin, like Magnesium OK, and a high strenght Fish Oil capsule.

Or get a mid anti-depressant.

anti depressants? Really? Cos the rest of the time I am miss irritatingly-bouncy-out-of-bed-at-6am-on-a saturday. Can't see the doc handling them out like sweeties for the PMT bit if I'm okay the rest of the time. I think because it's such a change from my normal mood that I am noticing it more.

Will investigate the supplement aisle in boots apres work though. Ta
