difference in prolapse/stress incontinence

hi,been reading a thread on this bored and feel pretty stupid but what is the difference between a prolapse and stress incontince,i know about the stress one but how do you know u have a prolapse and are the two connected

There's no need to be embarassed.
The pelvic floor is a muscle that basically cradles your bits. It's the pelvic floor that's to blame for both stress incontinence and a prolapse. You can check for a prolapse yourself by examining your vagina. Wash your hands and stick a finger up it, if you can feel something that is like an upsidedown volcano then there's a 1 degree prolapse there, stress incontinence is an indicator.

Does this make sense?
