Hi there, I have PCOS and have always had bad periods but just lately they have been getting worse (when I do get them lol). Can anyone tell me the symptoms they get with Endometiosis so I can decided if its worth going to the gp or not. Have never had decent help from gp hence my uncertainty.

Hi, I'm sorry you're having a bad time.

Endometriosis can cause a very wide range of symptoms, so the problem with basing your decision on other people's symptoms is that you might still have it, but just with different symptoms, iyswim. But painful periods, whether that's a new thing for you or whether they've always been like that, could be caused by endo and should always be investigated.

If it's bad enough for you to ask us, it's bad enough to go to the GP about.
Another possible cause could be fibroids.

Try here or here for information.

Hope that helps a bit.

I'm sorry your feeling this way i also know how useless gps can be took mine 18 mnths to diagnose Endometrosis.

My syptoms were pains that literally stopped me in my tracks and made me faint and really heavy and prolonged periods. If you feel that bad I'd recommened going to your gp anyway its best to get checked out. They make even prescribe you pain relief etc to help until diagnosis can be made.

Hopefully you get it all sorted asap.
