Hello!

Just got spme blood test reslults and apparently have low B12, which if I'm right is iron?? Doc is sending me for more blood tests (I eat iron rich food though so a bit confused)

Anyone else been told this? Presumed they would just give me some tablets or something.

i think it is iron yes
iron rich food is great, but you have to make sure your body is absorbing it properly
ie, don't have it along with lots of dairy food as this stops your body from absorbing it. same goes for tea/coffee
make sure if you are having iron-rich foods that you drink orange juice (or any other form of vitamin c) as this helps absorption of the iron in it

tablets are horrible and make you constipated, i would recommend the water one (can't remember what it's called now!)
boots sell sachets of this iron-rich water. you need to mix it with some orange juice or something because it tastes vile... but because it is water based your body will absorb nearly all of the iron in it
think it's called spatone

Not too sure that it is just iron though. My Mum has just been told that she is very low in B12 and is having weekly injections. I think some people have problems absorbing B12 from food and need extra help. Try asking in Boots or Holland & Barrett.
