Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Wasting - yes the new feed is supposed to help DS but alas, I have spent 3 mornings on the run scrubbing the lounge as he brings each drop back. The dietician called and I have to say, I ripped her a new one and told her I'd speak to her next week once I'd finished cleaning.

I am a grumpy cow.

Reality - not long now and wow! Get you and your under 4K wedding. I think ours was around that once I'd culled a few guests.

Did all my own flowers, invites and make-up/hair etc. (ex florist and used to work for Estee Lauder) so that helped save.

I hope you have a wonderful day. How are your sore bits now?

Mittz - you ok? How is DS today? When are his trips, this or next week?

Jaq - nice to see you.

Trills - no news still, . Major issues but as soon as I can tell, it'll be announced!!

Alicetheinvisible · 23/07/2010 11:58

Hello, remember me?

Sorry i have been rubbish at keeping up, been doing too much and then being too tired to concentrate

Hope you are all well.

Reality - how long til the wedding? Ours was very cheap, about £2000 i think, but we had no photographer, make up, wedding car or caterers. Church was the most expensive bit, then had my cousins marquee in my grandparents garden, all food done ourselves etc. It can be done, but wish we had spent more and done less tbh

Off to see Razorlight this evening!

Alicetheinvisible · 23/07/2010 11:59

Doh, sorry, you said 2weeks, i am for example, an idiot!

Mouseface · 23/07/2010 12:04

ALICE - Yay!! Nice to see you. Have a fab time tonight but take it easy! I went to see Stereophonics at 12 weeks pg, never mind nearly 38!!!!!!

Have fun!

Mittz · 23/07/2010 12:08

Hey Mousey xx

DS is doing well, the trips are doing him good, last one today. I think he likes that the lad involved has a restriction order on where he can go so DS has 'safe' areas.

I'm, well, do you ever get that thing where a part of you is OK and another part isn't? I feel a bit more positive and less harrowed, but despite helping with the decorating DC's Dad is being an arse. He keeps being vague about timings and changing them randomly (that is how he likes life) and when I (and to be fair, I was diplomatic) expressed that this wasn't fair, he got shirty with me and switched his phone off as he didn't want to bother with the issue.
He has done it again this weekend, not always anything major, maybe an hour here and there, but he never asks if I mind, and just 'tells' me. ''I'll have DC's on Sat instead of Sunday this week' sort of thing. He doesn't like rules (unless they are his) and it is wearing.
It's not that I want to be difficult but would prefer it if he said.. 'is it OK if we do x or y this weekend?'

Am I BU? Should I just go with the flow. I don't trust my own feelings and reactions and I did get upset at one point because I just feel like I have to comply, so he said it was my fault for reacting unreasonably. And wouldn't discuss it further and I wound up crying with frustration and saying it was my fault for being tired stressed and emotional. I am weak and pathetic.

Sorry...you'll wish you didn't ask...

Reality, sounding good.. you deserve a fab day xx

Mouseface · 23/07/2010 12:30

Mittz - God, what a PITA he is! No, stand your ground. Even if that means he doesn't see the DCs.

I went though all of this with DD dad. He would chop and change and move days to suit him and his new wife/family etc. Which is fine excpet for the fact that DD needs routine. She can't handle change at all. She needs to know when and how.

So, I told him. Stick to the routine or not at all. You can't mess DD around and pick her up/drop her to suit your new life. Tis not fair.

Yes, it would mean me not getting a break some weeks but better that than an upset and confused DD.

Why should XH dictate to you? He's making your life difficult and sending mixed messages to the DC, which of course, you then have to explain!!!!

In short, stand your ground and go with your gut instincts. xx

Mouseface · 23/07/2010 12:32

AND........... You're not weak and pathetic. You need him to speak to you as an equal, which looking at your post, he doesn't.

Routine and respect please!

Niggles · 23/07/2010 13:01

Hello, enjoying a cheese n apple toastie and debating whether to have another one. Mittz you must know even before you click send that no-one is going to think you are unreasonable. Give and take is great but like a lot of men/people he seems to be ignoring the give part.
Childcare arrangements are not some kind of buffet bar - I fancy a bit of Saturday and a Sunday in a fortnight etc, all done to suit me ME ME.
Oh it's Iggi btw, can't be bothered switching name over - but you'll know it's me when my message appears twice.

Mouseface · 23/07/2010 13:05

Hey Iggi/Niggles.

Only 1 post!!!! Well done iphone!!

wastingaway · 23/07/2010 13:08

Mittz, he's being totally unreasonable.
The restriction order sounds good. Hope DS is doing ok.

Reality, it's so exciting. You've done really well on the money side there.

This is the eighties.

Niggles · 23/07/2010 13:31

Mouse I saw a real mouse in my living room last night - I did not welcome it with open arms! Hate 'em.

TrillianAstra · 23/07/2010 13:43

Hello Rodent

Went for a little walk at lunchtime in my fit flops - unfortunately the walk was to go get a burrito for lunch. Yummy.

wastingaway · 23/07/2010 13:51

Trills - I made hot chicken melts for lunch today wearing my Fitflops, breaded chicken, (oven cooked), lettuce and light mayo with a low fat cheese slice on a white bun. Yum!!

Mittz - JD is puke fodder for me, he does a radio show that we get here. I have to turn it off. My SIL LOVES him!!!!

I liked jason d in the Rocky Horror Show. On the basis of this, DH bought me his autobiography, so I now know more about him than the average person.[Hmm]
