So, our 1,000,000,000 and who knows what thread!

All diet and exercise plans welcome, let's support each other and talk about sex healthy eating!

So, to recap, I'm LV, and so far I've lost approx 6lbs with many more to go

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:33

Bella would that be all the C**K talk do you think? I guess it's not really classed as a food....

One biscuit won't hurt too much Bella, run around the office a few times

TrillianAstra · 22/07/2010 14:34

I think DeFluff's new nickname might have something to do with it Bella.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/07/2010 14:34

Oh and Less of the Old Thank you!

bellavita · 22/07/2010 14:37

Norma, it was really wierd. The tech guy walked through reception just as I got this warning blocked thing in bright red letters on the screen. I asked him to have a look and he said it could be swearing or if there is a rude pic on here, I couldn't think of any that had been posted on this particular thread. I could look at active with no problems.

DS2 normally walks home by himself, but am thinking I might need to get some exercise and have a walk down.

I must make some soup, I have a couple of chicken carcasses in the freezer.

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:42

DeFluff it's all your fault

Bella is it easy to ake soup from a chicken carcass? I am hopelessly clueless, I can make tomato soup with my eyes shut (though that's a litte messy) but not ever made chicken soup.

Gigantaur · 22/07/2010 14:42

pornography? where?

you are of course correct Bella. you wise old bird

I do think the thread has degenerated slightly. I must admit to not posting sometimes as it feels a llittle like i am intruding on a personal conversation. especially amongst some of you that meet up off board.

so healthy eating. what shall i have for tea? Was thinking of doing the turkey stir fry Marco showed me but that would involve hunting down some sesame oil and i don't think the local shop will have it.

so yo have to inspire me with what you are all having instead

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:43

GiGi you met Marco? You jammy sod didn't see you got that, was it good? Is he a twat nice chap IRL?

Gigantaur · 22/07/2010 14:46

he was lovely.
very friendly and not at all arsey or egotistical.
but very broody and deep thinking.

he was quite lush. but then i like any man that's good with his hands

apparently the footage "goes live" on monday. i am dreading it. i didn't realise it was getting filmed

bellavita · 22/07/2010 14:47

Oooh sesame oil is lovely Gigi. If I am just having a veg stir fry, I will make a little dressing of sesame oil and a dash of light soy sauce to pep it up a bit.

Oh god Gigi, I am old - 45 next month. Where did all the years go

Chicken soup is easy. Just shove the carcass in a pan with whatever veg (I admit to using a chicken stock cube too) and just boil it up and simmer until the veg is soft. Hoik the chicken out, take off all the meat. Blitz up the veg and add the chicken back in. I prefer a thick soup but it is up to you how liquidy you have it.

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:49

Sounds brilliant GiGi, did you learn some good recipes? Has it inspired you to cook with more turkey?

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:49

That is easy, shall give that a go Bella.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 22/07/2010 14:50

I need to get a shop done. I think I've just about run out of healthy food.

My staple at the moment is chicken green thai curry on a bed of spring greens (instead of rice). I could eat it every day. Heaven.

Gigantaur · 22/07/2010 14:51

do you know it actually has.

I was incredibly cynical i must admit. i just went along cos i wanted to be fed by marco.

but the food was gorgeous, the recipes were simple and as they said, you just swap a chicken recipe for a turkey one.

plsu they were banging on about how much cheaper turkey was, how much leaner and healthier it is, how much less saturated fat it has.

I am now a total convert.

I have used turkey 4 times since i went just over a week ago.

it is definitly a great diet food

bellavita · 22/07/2010 14:51

Crunchie, that sounds lovely.

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 14:54

I'm really glad to hear that GiGi, shows it wasn't a total waste of time IYKWIM? Great that they were simple recipes too makes it more enjoyable to make doesn't it?

Gigantaur · 22/07/2010 14:57

well the idea of it was to show us recipes that were quick and simple and that mums at home could do.

I was worried it would be all poncy chef type things that realistically a busy mum just wouldn't cook.

I was pleasantly surprised.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 22/07/2010 14:59

It is, I love a good chicken soup too. Chicken carcass, just covered in water, a couple of onions, celery, carrots, whatever veg I have left that is past its best chuck some bayleaves in and a bouquet garni, a good glug of wine, plenty of soy sauce and boil for as long as you can. The longer the better.

I always do one after a roast. So add any left over gravy too. Then drain it all away, add potatoes, carrots, parsnips, celery, onions and the left over chicken meat, and boil for another hour or two. If it's a bit thin, add cornflour, if it's a bit flavourless, give in and add a stock cube

I love it. Real comfort food.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 22/07/2010 15:01

Gigi sounds fantastic.

NormaSknockers · 22/07/2010 15:05

It sounds brilliant GiGi, really, really fab.

cunty - sounds a lot like my ex sadly Try to count to a hundred ten before speaking to them sometimes helps

Gigi - i think i am going to try swapping chicken for turkey - you have inspired me

Big news - i have 3 people to interview on MOnday I have a list of questions to work through (may ask for opinions later, when i calm down a little) and need to decide asap, as i cant afford to keep the agency going

And, will admit to a few pathetic worries over my holiday, which are slowly building up into bigger worries - so interviews are the last thing i need. But, as i am going away, then my payroll person is away for 2 weeks (she is interviewing with me) i really need to get them done. Hmm....

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/07/2010 15:19

GiGi I am going to try that meatball recipe you sent me when we are back from hols.

Double, I'm still a bit off fish after the Dukan week. I used eat loads of fish as well.

I love chicken soup. I always put pearl barley and lentils in mine too.

I'm nearly done, so that will be one less poster to clog up the thread with chit chat for at least a week or so.

And where is Mouse with her announcement?

BitOfFun · 22/07/2010 15:28

Crisp butty for lunch I'm afraid. Not much sleep again last night, so comfort/tired eating.

I've finally done my scary tax credit form though, so I will probably sleep like a baby tonight- that has been on my mind for weeks. Just need to do the passports tonight.

bellavita · 22/07/2010 15:35

I don't envy you with the passports BoF. We have three to renew next year and it will cost a bomb. I hate form filling.

Have just had a brisk walk to school. Walked tall (as tall as a 5ft nothing person can walk ), shoulders back, tummy tucked in. It is blardy cold out there.
