root canal price on NHS?

I live in Dublin and have the misfortune to need a root canal! I also have to pay for it - 800 euro plus another 850 for a crown! I have a UK employer who reimburses us the cost of dental treatment equal to what would be paid on the NHS. Does anyone know what the charge for a root canal is?

Also, I'm 28 weeks pregnant. Are root canals covered under the free dental care during pregnancy scheme, or not?

you'd be looking at about £200 for a root canal plus crown, altogether..yes they are covered under NHS exemption scheme for pregnant women.
