I posted about this a couple of months ago, but still feel the need to rant. I had a Depo provera injection in late February. It made me feel utterly ghastly - snappy, bloated, NO sex drive, spotty... I could go on. After 6 weeks I started bleeding. I bled non stop for 8 weeks, and it then turned to on and off brown spotting (sorry TMI). It is now 5 months since the injection, i did not have a second injection. I am still having on and off (say 3 days on / 2 days off) brown spotting but have not yet had a 'real' period. When is it going to END?? I know I need to see a dr to discuss what's going on, but combination of recently moving house and DD having been in hospital has sort of pushed it down my priority list. Thankfully in myself I now feel normal again so I guess my hormones are regulating, but I just want the spotting to stop and to go back to normal periods. Anyone else had an experience like this?
It's certainly an effective form of contraception, I'll give it that!! No way was I getting pregnant whilst on it as DP couldn't come near me!!
